Terms of Service

The legal agreement between you and Kivolo Kids when you create an account or use the service. Please read carefully. By signing up you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use the service

Kivolo Kids is intended for use by parents and legal guardians on behalf of children ages 2 to 8. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of each child profile you add.

2. What we provide

Kivolo Kids is a subscription service offering:

• A curated library of videos from trusted children's channels, embedded in a parental-gated player.
• HTML5 games suitable for ages 2–8 with no in-app purchases.
• AI-generated bedtime stories personalised with your child's first name, moderated before being shown.
• A parent dashboard with weekly activity reports.

3. Free trial and subscription

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. During the beta period (through 2026), you can continue manually by emailing hello@kivolokids.com.

You can cancel at any time from the parent cabinet. Access remains until the end of the paid period.

4. Refunds

We offer a full refund within 14 days of first payment if you are an EU/UK consumer (statutory withdrawal right). For renewals, pro-rated refunds are issued at our discretion; the default is access continuing until period end.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with users outside your immediate household.
• Attempt to access the service via bots, scrapers, or automated means.
• Reverse-engineer or redistribute any part of the service.
• Upload or submit any content that violates copyright, child safety laws, or third-party rights.

6. Content

Video content is licensed via embedded YouTube channels — we select and moderate but do not host. Games are licensed under each game's original terms (most are CC0 or custom-built). AI stories are generated per-request and not distributed.

7. Intellectual property

The Kivolo Kids name, logo, and rainbow wordmark are trademarks of Devgame OU. You may not reproduce them outside of personal reference.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that every video is suitable for every child — parental review is encouraged. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, though we aim for 99.5% monthly uptime.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us during that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

10. Termination

You may cancel any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms with notice. Deletion of your account removes child profiles and associated data within 30 days.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. EU and UK consumers retain statutory rights that may not be waived.

12. Changes to terms

We'll notify you 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
